Authorities are investigating after receiving a call for a body in the water Wednesday morning in southeast Harris County.
The sheriff’s office told reporters that Precinct 2 constables were called to Scarsdale and Beamer after construction workers in the area spotted a body in a drainage ditch.
Officials believe the body had been there for awhile. They said it appeared to be a man, but his age and ethnicity were unknown.
Along with constables, the sheriff’s office’s crime scene and homicide units were also investigating at the scene.
