A teenager died, and three people were injured after a structure fire erupted at multiple trailer homes in northwest Harris County Sunday morning, according to deputies.
The Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office said crews received a call at about 3:15 a.m. about the fire at 12427 Cutten Road.
Investigators say a family of six was inside one of the homes that ignited into flames. Three of the family members got out with no injuries, but two were burned and a teenage boy died, according to the fire marshal.
One of the male burn victims was taken to the hospital in stable condition. Officials said one firefighter was also hospitalized for heat exhaustion and is expected to be OK.
Fire crews said two mobile homes were damaged, and they are working to learn how the fire started.
