Gonzalez later confirmed that a 40-year-old woman and her boyfriend were pushing a broken-down SUV, with the woman standing next to the driver-side door and her boyfriend behind the vehicle.
That’s when Gonzalez said a 76-year-old man drove by and hit the woman, killing her.

A short time later, Gonzalez said a second driver hit the SUV, but no one else was injured.
Both drivers remained at the scene and cooperated with deputies, Gonzalez said.
The sheriff said the SUV may have had an electrical failure and had no lights on.
It’s unclear if any charges will be filed as the case is still under investigation.
